Upper Darby Residents,
ICE is terrorizing our families, friends, and neighbors.
As a community designated as “The World in One Place” we must come together to support each other.
On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the Upper Darby Council committed to creating a piece of legislation modeled on the recently passed Haverford Township Resolution which stablishes an official policy that Haverford Township law enforcement officers and resources shall not engage in the enforcement of non-criminal federal immigration laws and shall not participate in the federal ICE 287(g) program which authorizes local enforcement agencies to perform federal immigration enforcement functions.”
Please attend the Upper Darby Council Meeting on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, to hold the Council to their promise to create this legislation.
To speak in support of the legislation, you must sign in before 6:50 pm. The meeting starts at 7:00 pm. The sign-up sheet is in the main hallway before you enter the meeting chamber. The sheet is taken away at 6:50, so if you are not signed in by then, you cannot speak. You do not need to speak, however. Your presence is also a way to show your support. Please show up and stand up for our families, friends and neighbors!
“Reports from January 2026 indicate Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity, potentially related to raids or operations, in various parts of Upper Darby, including near 69th Street and Township Line, which is close to Beverly Hills Middle School, with local social media posts showing community concern and sightings of unmarked vehicles…”
