The American people know it: Social Security is a vital government program that helps support all those who have spent their working lives paying into the system and have earned their benefits. While Trump, Elon, and their billionaire friends try to scam us into lining their pockets through completely unnecessary tax breaks for billionaires, they’re upending the Social Security Administration and attempting to rip away benefits from millions of Americans to make them happen. As Trump and DOGE continue to pressure the Social Security Administration to cut more jobs, there are still thousands of incredible Americans working day and night to make sure benefits continue to get in the hands of the people. Those people need to know that we support them. That’s why, next Thursday, April 24, we’re partnering with Social Security Works to do events at every Social Security office that we can. Here’s what you’ll do: Oprion 1 Check the Social Security Works event map to see if there’s an event near you. If there is an event, sign up and attend! Let’s make sure those workers see lots of supportive faces and those billionaires see just how popular Social Security is. Oprion 2 If there isn’t an event near you, find your local Social Security Administration office. Oprion 3 Register your event with Social Security Works. Invite your friends, family, coworkers, and the people you meet at the grocery store to join you in thanking the workers who support getting Social Security to the people.Rally at the Social Security office on Thursday, April 24. Let’s make it big. Let’s make it loud. Let’s make sure those workers feel the love.***Important note for event hosts*** The focal point of the events will be delivering a letter of support from Senator Warren and Congressional allies to the offices. If you are an event host, look for an important email on Wednesday from Hands Off Social Security for a copy of the letter to be printed out and delivered to the office on Thursday.We want these workers to know that not only do the grassroots support them, but there are Democrats in Congress who are fighting back against Trump, Musk, and their DOGE lackeys to secure their jobs and the Social Security benefits millions of Americans have earned. As always, our rallies are grounded in foundations of non-violence. These rallies should be joyful — we’re showing support for those workers whose jobs DOGE and Trump are trying to rip away. These aren’t just anti-Trump and Musk, they are explicitly in support of the hardworking staff who make sure your friends, families, and the American people are getting the benefits they earned over years of work.So, let’s get out next Thursday and celebrate.
